2008-01-09 [Linderel]: Well, that makes one at least. xP *snuggle*
2008-01-09 [Jitter]: I read it too :3
2008-01-09 [Linderel]: Yay. :3
2008-01-10 [Imperator]: Oh, right. I also read it but the information must have gotten lost in the vast space of my brain... heh heh...
2008-01-23 [Lite]: If you took a pic and only altered the color balance, would it go under photo, or photomanip?
2008-01-23 [Linderel]: Photo. :)
2008-02-15 [Goldenettes_Girl]: Sorry for the English major shining through, but jewelry's only got one 'l'.
2008-02-15 [Linderel]: Not in the British spelling. ;)
2008-02-15 [Imperator]: Well why don't you conform to supreme America already?! :p
2008-02-15 [Linderel]: Because British spelling is prettier. Besides, why should I?
2008-02-15 [Imperator]: Prettier? It's also more confusing. Color/Colour Which one is simpler? And because America is supreme. :p jk
2008-02-15 [sequeena_rae]: Confusing? America is the one that tore up the spelling in the first place so I'd say American spelling is confusing xP
Color looks wrong. It's like someone who can't be bothered to pronounce their words -_-
And prettier my arse :P
2008-02-15 [Imperator]: "Color" looks wrong to you but "colour" looks wrong to me. Duh! :p
2008-02-15 [sequeena_rae]: *shrug* Color looks like someone was trying to say colon :D
2008-02-15 [Yncke]: Look, all you native English speakers, as long as you don't have a committee defining the spelling through a book that is changed every five years to keep underlining their importance like all decent languages, any kind of English is nothing more than a dialect. :P
2008-02-15 [sequeena_rae]: shush you xD
2008-02-15 [Jitter]: I also believe British spelling is prettier :P American spelling is only nice when I'm writing a text message and can't be arsed to put an extra letter in ;p xD
Languages aren't supposed to be simple, the word "colour" came in first so they must have a reason for putting that 'u' in there ;)
2008-02-15 [Imperator]: Actually, no they didn't. That's why it was dropped in American english. :-)
2008-02-15 [Yncke]: Well. Then I think cghollourr is even better, especially for Scrabble. :P
2008-02-15 [Jitter]: Nah you Americans are just lazy :p
2008-02-15 [Cia_mar]: this is so like my talk with [Remos Page] about the word "aluminum" i pronounce it with 4 syllables adn i thought he was saying it wrong cuz he uses 5 syllables .. but then when he spelled it,.,, it was "aliminium"
i looked it up adn saw that it was the original spelling and the reason was that when they named the substance it was named following the traditional spelling of things like "uranium".... so the "ium" was right...
personally, i think it matters not... it is just fun to point out differances in spelling.. but not to say one is better than the other, but more from the academic side of "wow! how neat, look how this word originated!!!"
ok that is all...lol
